Cookie policy
What cookies are, which ones this academy site uses, and how you can accept, reject, or clear them. Last updated 1 August 2026.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Similar technologies include localStorage keys. They can remember a preference (such as a consent choice) or help us understand which pages are read. They are not used here to sell advertising profiles.
Types we use
Essential. Required for the site to remember your cookie choice and to load header, footer, and forms. These do not depend on marketing consent. Rejecting analytics does not turn them off.
Analytics (optional). Only if you press Accept on the banner. We may then record aggregated page views to see which essays and programme pages are useful. Rejecting analytics leaves every page, form, and course file fully usable.
Cookies and storage table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| systempacketline_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics so the banner does not return every visit. | Until you clear site data (localStorage) | Systempacketline (first party) |
| session / hosting logs | Short-lived server logs needed to deliver pages and diagnose errors. Not a browser cookie you can toggle, listed here for completeness. | Up to 90 days on the server | Systempacketline hosting |
| spl_page_views (only if accepted) | Aggregated counts of which academy pages were opened. Not used to identify you across other websites. | 14 months | Systempacketline (first party) |
How to manage or disable cookies
On first visit the banner offers Accept and Reject with equal prominence. Your choice is stored under the key systempacketline_cookie_consent. To decide again, clear localStorage for this site in your browser settings and reload; the banner will return. You can also block or delete cookies in the browser itself (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge each document this under privacy settings).
Third-party cookies
We load fonts from Google Fonts and images from Unsplash. Those providers may set their own cookies or receive your IP address when the asset is requested. We do not control their cookies. See their privacy documentation if you wish to limit that traffic, for example by using browser shielding or blocking third-party requests. Embedded maps are not used on this site.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting optional analytics or blocking third-party requests does not close the academy pages, the contact form, or course files. Fonts or images may fall back to system fonts or fail to load if you block those hosts entirely. Clearing all site data will also forget your consent choice until you set it again.
Personal data connected to cookies is described further in the privacy notice.
